   Dance Club 69 was first previewed on line in September of 2009. The main motivation and focus of the site is to honor the 40^th anniversary of the year 1969. This was a time for some of us that the world transformed. In fact 1969 became known as the year everything changed. The events that took place during that year became markers in history.

Man first set foot on the moon. This was a scientific accomplishment that opened the doors to all the technology which 40 years later is part of our every day life.  The concert at Woodstock, New York would impact the world of music for the next four decades. Many of the musicians and bands became the influential forces which paved the way for much of the music we now listen to.
